HUNDEL ELECTRIC SERVICES LTD.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This policy explains how Hundel Electric Services Ltd. ("Hundel Electric," "we," "us") handles personal information collected through hundelelectric.com, Facebook and Instagram lead forms, phone calls, texts, emails and our electrical services. We are based in North Delta, British Columbia.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and preferred contact method.
- Project information: the service you need, city or job address, timing, project description, photos and other details you choose to send.
- Service records: correspondence, quotes, scheduling details, invoices and records needed to complete or support your electrical work.
- Website information: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring links and interactions such as quote submissions or phone-link clicks, collected through our website and its service providers.
Please send only information needed for your enquiry. Avoid including identity documents, payment-card details or unrelated personal information in lead forms or project photos.
2. How we use information
We use information to answer questions, discuss your project, prepare estimates, arrange appointments, perform electrical work, manage customer records and handle follow-up or warranty matters. We also use website and advertising information to understand which pages and ads lead to enquiries, improve our services and protect our website from spam and misuse.
3. Facebook and Instagram lead forms
When you submit a Meta instant form, we receive the contact details and answers you submit, including your requested service, project location and timing. We use them to contact you about that request by phone, text or email, as appropriate. Please check any details Meta pre-fills before submitting. Email is optional in our current quote form.
Meta also processes information under its own Privacy Policy. Submitting our form is a request for contact about your project; it is not a commitment to purchase.
4. Optional promotional messages
We may send electrical-service news, offers or reminders by email or text when you have separately opted in or another lawful basis permits that communication. Promotional messages identify Hundel Electric and provide a way to unsubscribe. You can also contact us below to stop promotional messages. We will honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
Choosing not to receive promotions does not affect your ability to request a quote or receive services. Necessary messages about an active enquiry, appointment or job may continue.
5. When information is shared
We limit sharing to what is reasonably needed for the purposes described here. This may include website hosting, form processing, email, communications, recordkeeping and advertising-measurement providers. Squarespace hosts our website; Meta processes its lead forms; Google provides analytics, advertising-measurement and anti-spam tools.
If another contractor or business is to receive your enquiry as a referral, we will explain who will receive it and why, and obtain your permission first. We will not sell or share your contact details with other businesses for their own marketing without separate consent. Project photos that identify you or your property will not be used in our advertising without your permission.
Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law. Providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our Squarespace website uses cookies and similar technologies for site operation and visitor measurement. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags to understand visits and measure advertising results. These tools can send Google information such as your IP address, page URL, device details, cookie identifiers and website interactions. Google Ads call measurement may use a forwarding number to connect a call with an ad interaction.
You can manage or block cookies in your browser, although some site functions may be affected. Google advertising preferences can be managed through Google Ad Settings; Google also offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Read more about Google's use of information from partner websites, Squarespace's privacy practices and Google's Privacy Policy, including for reCAPTCHA spam protection. External platforms have their own privacy settings and policies.
7. Protection and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information, and limit access to people and providers who need it. No online system can guarantee complete security.
We retain personal information for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable accounting, legal, warranty and recordkeeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or make it no longer identifiable.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent, request deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy concern using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained, and withdrawing information needed for a job may limit the services we can provide.
We handle requests subject to applicable law, including British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act. If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. Where required, we will explain a new use of your information and obtain consent before proceeding.
